An unoptimized URL can be off-putting to users because it’s not clear where it leads and looks untrustworthy. It’s also not good for SEO because it has no keywords and doesn’t describe the content.

A sitemap is a complete list of all the pages on your website that helps search engines easily find and index all of your content. Submitting an updated sitemap to Google when you publish new content means it gets added to Google faster.
